Youth Protection Training (YPT)

Who needs this training? #

You Protection Training is required for all adult leaders in scouts.

If an adult is participating in an overnight camping trip and they are not a parent/legal guardian of a scout, this training is also required.

Where can I find the training? #

• Log into your scout account at https://my.scouting.org/
• Choose the dropdown by your name on the top-right side.
  • Select My Training
• You should see the YPT Status near the top.
• Below you will see “Youth Protection Training Y01” on the right side.
  • Click on “Take Course”
  • You should be taken to something like the following link: https://training.scouting.org/programs/6
• In the Training section you will see 4 total course selections. Two are in English and Two are in Spanish. The courses are:
  • Mandatory- Youth Protection Training
    • Exam requiring 75% or better complete.
  • Recommended – Youth Protection Training
    • No exam is shown.
• Choose the course then select Enroll
• In the course selections below, choose start to begin a section.
